Thomas Penson de Quincey (;[1] (ne) Thomas Penson Quincey; 15 Augustus 1785 – 8 Desember 1859) was 'n Engelse skrywer, essayis en literêre kritikus. Hy is veral bekend vir sy Confessions of an English Opium-Eater (1821).[2][3] Baie skolastici is die mening toegedaan dat de Quincey deur die publikasie van sy werk die tradisie van die "verslawingsliteratuur" in die Weste laat posvat het.[4]
